Gilbert gave Becca an ugly, black flame candle for her birthday. Gilbert tells them that the 16th birthday was when the witch gets her powers. After gathering their ritual supplies, Becca and Izzy went to the woods for the birthday ritual. Cassie was not with them. She was having a boy-girl party without her dad's permission. The two girls lit the candle and the Sanderson sisters returned. The first thing Winifred Sanderson said upon returning was "lock up your children!"

Sarah sings "Come Little Children" to entice the children of Salem into coming to the witch's house to be eaten. "Wind Beneath my Wings", while performed by Bette Midler often, does not appear in this movie.
She uses the song to put a spell on the parents of Salem. She tells them to dance until they die. She does this as a distraction, so she can kill the children without parental interference.

Winifred (Winnie) was played by Bette Midler. Sarah Jessica Parker played Sarah, and Thora Birch played Dani. Bette Midler also starred in the movie "Beaches" (one of my favorites) as well as "The First Wives Club", "Stepford Wives", and "Stella". Bette Midler is also known for her singing career. She has released numerous albums between the years 1972 and 2006. Sarah Jessica Parker is best known for her role in "Sex and the City".

Dani was Max's little sister and was the one who got kidnapped near the end of the movie. All throughout the movie, she was dressed up as a witch (go figure). Dani was saying this to their mother at a party, right before everybody was put under a spell. The four (Binx included) were hoping that she would be able to help.

Becca, Cassie, and Izzy formed a salt circle in the garage, trapping the sisters inside. The teens left to find the Mayor but he made it home before they found him. He opened the garage door thinking the sisters were friends of Cassie's left over from the party. The Mayor hilariously referred to the sisters as the "Golden Girls".

The original lyrics were altered for this movie, but stayed true to the tune to Elton John's "The Bitch is Back". The two girls remember it took lighting the candle, a full moon and a virgin to bring back the sisters.

Winifred is associated with the color green, which can seen in the graveyard after she turns into a statue for touching hollowed ground, and then turns into green dust.

Mary was in between Winnifred and Sarah in brains. She wore red, was a little plump and was always loyal to Winnifred. Mary said this when she is trying to sniff out Allison, Dani and Max, but was unable to. Mabye it was because the three were hiding near a lobster restaurant. Hmmm...

Answer: Roomba vacuumed the salt.

Mary's Roombas, aka the "broomies" followed her. They headed toward the circle and vacuumed the salt, clearing the path for the sisters to leave.

The girls led them to the "apothecary", Walgreens. They told the sisters they could buy ready made potions and lotions with the children's souls "already mixed in". The witches were seen drinking lotions and spraying perfumes in their mouths. The sisters even took a "selfie" with a trio of young girls dressed like the old witches.

The first time the Sanderson sisters used brooms to fly after Maxi, Dani and Allison. Their brooms are then stolen by three children dressed in costumes like the Sanderson sisters. The second time they fly, Winifred uses a broom, Sarah uses a mop and Mary uses a vacuum cleaner.

It was called a "chocolate covered finger of a man named Clark" by the witches. Then, after Mary ate it she said, "Ew it's candy, why would the Master give us candy?" Winifred responded by telling her that he was not their Master.

Winifred said this spell when she brought her dead ex-boyfriend to life. Billy is her ex-boyfriend, and more will be said in the next I.I. about this. It was also one of my favorite quotes in the movie.

Her sisters were what she valued most. Once the spell was spoken, the sisters each shot magic from their fingers. Winifred became powerful, but Mary and Sarah evaporated. Winifred became very sad, missing her sisters. She begged Becca to help her with Book. Winifred thought the spell Becca spoke would bring the sisters back, but instead, it sent Winifred to the sisters. She began to evaporate, and told the three teens how lucky they were to have each other before she was gone.

Answer: They saw their distorted reflections in the security mirror.

Mary Sanderson saw her reflection in the drugstore's security mirror which was hanging from the ceiling. When the other sisters looked, they were frightened at the sight. Winifred grabbed a store clerk and asked how many children's souls were in the lotions. He replied "zero".

He is dressed as a skeleton with black and white makeup and a top hat, to match the rest of the band.

In order to remain young and beautiful forever, the sisters are willing to commit mass murder. Absorbing the life energy of children will give the child's youth to the person who absorbs the energy. They sold their souls for power and got what they deserved. If you thought they were seeking redemption, maybe you need to watch it again.

Sarah's broom's bristles were split in half. This was seen right before they went into the Master's house, after getting off the bus.

This was Billy's first line. As said in the last information box, he was Winifred's boyfriend, until she caught him sporting (quote, unquote) with her sister, Sarah. She poisoned him and sowed his mouth shut with a dull needle, so that he couldn't speak, even in death. He said this because Winnifred killed him, and, obviously, he was pretty ticked off at her.

Winifred grabbed a broom, Sarah rode the wetjet, and Mary had a Roomba on each foot, which she called "broomies". As the three were flying, they discussed plans to get Book and "run amuck in Salem".

Allison states she would feel safer if she had salt to walk home with. Allison gets the idea after reading the spell book.

Leonardo DiCaprio was considered for the role but DiCaprio declined in favor of appearing in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" Subsequently Katz got the role. Katz was the star of "Eerie, Indiana" and appeared on a few episodes of "The John Larroquette Show".
